Mothers
43
Somewhere I read the line "God couldn't be everywhere, so he created Mothers". This is very true in the since that mothers are angelic caretakers here on earth. Don't get me wrong. I love my Daddy (he passed away last July). He was a strong man and provided for my Momma and me and loved us. It's not the same as a Mother, though. While Father's are out working to make sure their families have everything and don't go without, Mother's are there at home.
When a child cries, Momma is there. When a child draws a first picture, Momma is there praising as if it were the Mona Lisa. When a child scrapes a knee, it's a kiss and a band aid. When you fall in love the first time, Mommas are there to talk to. When you breakup the first time, they hold you while you cry.
Then, you grow up, get married and have kids of your own and Momma is there. She's there with advice and love while we muddle through the raising of our own children. And, oddly enough, still there with us during good times and difficult times. Always loving and understanding.
My mother is my strength everyday. She has endured life and makes sure everyday that I am still enduring and strong. I thank God for allowing me to be her child each and everyday.
A Mother's Love
A mother's love is sunshine in the morning
And starshine in the night
A mother's love is hope everday
Along life's pathway
A mother's love keeps calling to your heart
Whether you're near or apart
A mother's love is there when you roam
But most of all a mother's love will always be home.

Very nice dedication to mothers hub. creativeone59
Very warm and sentimental. Well done.
I enjoyed this tribute to your Mother! Its beautifully written.
My mother passed away at age 89 several years ago, and she used to say, "once a Mother, always a Mother", how right she was! I used to ask her for advice, share my joys and sorrows. Now that she is in spirit, I ocassionally talk to her, and thank her for having been a good Mom.
if you spell mom upside down it becopmes "Wow" isn't that appropriate._MFB III
I often wish I would have honored and praised my mother when I was a child. I know it would have been much needed, but I was just too self-centered to think about her and all she gave for me and my siblings. Thank you for this tribute to your mother! It is honoring to the Lord.
